Please speak with a trainer first to help you decide which training will best suit your needs before purchasing. All of the trainings offered are one-on-one trainings with you and your canine.

1. IN-HOME TRAINING (2hr class):
This session focuses on your ability of leadership and how to establish a good working dynamic in your territory with your new best friend. This training is not just for new owners as many owners have problem issues related to the art of handling. This session attempts to “Lead the Pack” and not so much on your canine himself. (Topics: Setting Rules, Body Language, Power of Intention & determination, Non-abusive Correction methods)$45 - 2 HRS

2. PRIVATE TRAINING (6 classes):
These classes focus on basic obedience and handling for the entire household with the canine/s. The classes are given in public locations to emphasize and practice socialization opportunities and allow the owners to identify and solve problem behaviors outside the home applying rules and dynamics covered in the In-Home session previously. $150 - 6 CLASSES

3. CUSTOMIZED BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION (6 classes)
Directed at select behavior problems your canine has exhibited; these classes explore different methods of handling and ways to suppress the behavior or re-direct it with a positive outcome and re-enforcement. May include some aspects of basic obedience and re-visit “Lead the Pack” skills.$150 - 6 CLASSES

4. ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUAL FOLLOW-UP CLASSES (1 Hr Class)
Your dog may know his tricks and yet your relationship might be missing this small key ingredient to make it perfect. This option is for owners who have already completed a course with us or elsewhere and simply needs to fine tune one command or issue.$30 - 1 HR

5. CANINE GOOD CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATION COURSE
(6 classes)
These classes prepare the team (owner & canine) to pass the Canine Good Citizen certification through the American Kennel Club. The CGC certification is a means of creating a bond between the owner and canine while working towards a positive image of the canine in society. The award of CGC states that the canine is a safe animal, well socialized and integrated in society. The evaluation is done by a CGC evaluator and upon successful conclusion offers free registration of your canine with the AKC (open to all breeds incl. mixed breeds/no age restrictions).$150- 6 CLASSES

6. THERAPY DOG INTL. CERTIFICATION COURSE (6 classes)
Some dogs have incredible nerve strength and an internal desire to interact and visit with humans. The TDI classes prepare the team (owner/canine) for the certification through Therapy Dogs Intl. and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) through the AKC. (Open to all breeds incl. mixed breeds without age restrictions)and the team will be able to contribute to a positive image through civil service opportunities at local hospitals, libraries, schools & senior homes. The evaluation incorporates the animals ability to deal with intense stress and equipment (such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers,etc.) $150- 6 CLASSES

7. TEACHING CHILDREN TO TALK TO DOGS, TEACHING DOGS TO LISTEN TO CHILDREN
If you have children in your household older than 4 years of age, it is necessary to pass on some essential skills to your child that allow the dog to clearly see your child in a leadership role despite the size and difference in scent (yes! kids do smell different than adults to dogs!)Avoid future issues that lead to negative outcomes by being proactive.$150 - 6 CLASSES

8. CGC OR THERAPY DOG EVALUATIONS
Since Paws Up! offers the training for both, we cannot do the evaluation as well as a matter of conflict of interest. We do however have contacts to evaluators in the metroplex and gladly set up an exam date with you and your pooch for either or both. For more information please contact us first.
